Take Some Time

"Taking an image, freezing a moment, reveals how rich reality truly is." - Ansel Adams

I’m a wedding photographer based out of the great state of Arkansas and I’m lucky enough to get to travel all over the U.S. documenting love and capturing all the big moments for people I now call friends.

My life is a whole lot of Netflix, watching vine compilations on YouTube until I fall asleep at night, and afternoons spent at the dog park plotting which dogs I would steal and keep forever if their owners couldn’t catch me. That scene from Bridesmaids with the dogs in the van? That’s totally me. I dance to Beyonce a lot (and basically anything else that might be playing near me), I end up calling your parents “Mom & Dad” on wedding days, and I love Harry Potter almost as much as I love Mexican food (which is a lot, I promise).

I’m a dog dad to the coolest, most socially anxious dog around, Oliver. I work hard so he doesn’t have to. I’m also a foster dad for Rescue Road, an organization that rescues dogs from high-kill shelters to help find their forever home. So alongside my beautiful boy, Oliver, I’ve usually got a wonderful little foster pup staying with me for a few weeks at a time until they’re adopted!

My philosophy as an artist centers around real moments of real love in real life.

I’m all about you being you and capturing you exactly how YOU are in this season of your life. Want to get married on the side of a mountain? Let’s do it. Showy weddings not your thing and you’d rather swap vows at City Hall? I’m your guy. I’m a big fan of all the in-between moments in life. The stolen glances, the laughter after the joke — those moments are my jam, which leads to comfortable, relaxed, unposed photos. You’re not an oversized Barbie and I’m not going to treat you like one. I make shooting totally painless and it feels a lot more like hanging out than taking pictures. I’m a comfortable mix of the traditional shots that your grandma loves and a few more documentary-style shots (aka, candids) to catch those moments you think no one sees.

Now that I’ve gone full Meredith Grey on you, I’ll leave you with this:

It’s nothing short of a privilege to be able to immerse myself in situations that allow me to witness personal discovery, freedom, and love. Photography affords me that privilege often and I try not to take it all for granted.

Think we’d vibe and be able to create some awesome stuff together? HIT ME UP AND LET’S CHAT!

If it makes you laugh, if it makes you cry, if it rips out your heart, that's a good picture.
